In the 1950s, many Canton embroidery institutes were established, to gather the talents and systemize the technology used for Canton embroidery.

 

In 2006, Yue embroidery was listed as national heritage.

 

After years of development, the technology of Cantonese embroidery has reached a peak. However, like other traditional folk handicrafts, it is facing the problem of succession.
